WELCOME TO PINNACLE ALPACAS

Our prize-winning herd of alpacas can be found nestled, in the heart of the Surrey Hills which is an area of outstanding natural beauty. Here the Pinnacle Alpacas graze peacefully and happily in trenched, badger fenced, bio secure, lush pastures; overlooking the idyllic countryside and ancient medieval bluebell woodlands nearby.

It was in 2013 following extensive research that we carefully and strategically selected our starter herd of 8 elite, pregnant females. The girls we chose had impeccable pedigrees and were mated to outstanding blue blood, proven stud males. From the start, it was our intention to pursue an alpaca breeding programme at the highest level. The girls’ excellent confirmation, consistently fine, dense fleeces, together with their exemplary pedigrees was indeed a superb platform from which to build our breeding programme. With every subsequent carefully planned, selective breeding decision, we have maximised the breeding potential of our elite herd and continue to strive for generational gain, year on year in all aspects of these wonderful fibre producing animals and to aim for the Pinnacle of alpaca breeding.

All cria born at Pinnacle are halter trained at weaning and handled with careful respect utilising Camelid Dynamic principles and our animals appear at multiple Regional Shows and of course at The National BAS Show each year.  Our herd is known and respected throughout the industry.

In 2021 we took over the running of the South of England Spring Live Alpaca Halter Show  at the South of England Agricultural Showground in Ardingly and run this in conjunction with the SEAS Spring Live Committee.  Over the years the popularity of this friendly April show has grown and grown.

In 2018 we both qualified as BAS Affiliate Trainers and delight in enthusing and training new would be owners and breeders with the skills needed to gain the best from their experiences with these beguiling animals.

We have both completed Judge Training 1 and Tony served on the BAS Board for two years giving huge amounts of voluntary time to support and further the aims of the Society.  We were instrumental in getting the all new South East Alpaca Group [SEAG] off the ground, laying firm foundations for the running of this regional group before stepping away in 2025 to concentrate on other projects.

Alpacas have taken us around the world and we have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know breeders in Europe, America and Peru.

Our journey with alpacas continues to be a wonderful and enriching time and we invite you to share with us the unique and rewarding experience that alpacas can bring to you.
